Eduardo Esquivel
Eduardo Esquivel is a Mexican filmmaker who graduated from the Department of Sound and Image of the University of Guadalajara. He has produced films supported by Tribeca Film Institute, Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE), Jalisco’s Culture Department and Film Commision, Inside Out Toronto, among others. His work has been shown at festivals such as Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Sheffield Doc/Fest, Semaine de la Critique Morelia, La Habana, and more. His short film Lo que no se dice bajo el sol won the Prix Revélation at Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse.
Esquivel is an alumni of Tribeca Films Institute and Berlinale Talents, and has received the support of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts of Mexico (FONCA) for film script writing for his second film La eterna adolescente, which got selected at San Sebastian Co-Production Forum. His feature film debut Las flores de la noche will premiere at IDFA in 2022.
