Warsha
Beirut's numerous cranes inspired Lebanese writer-director Dania Bdeir to make Warsha, a short film with which she won the jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
A Syrian crane operator worker is asked to replace his deceased colleague. Dozens of metres above the city, away from prying eyes, he experiences the freedom no one grants him elsewhere. His deepest essence breaks through spectacularly.
This short film is part of the short film programme called Le bonheur est dans le show at Pink Screens, the Brussels queer film festival.
