Fisnik Maxville

Born in 1989 in Kosovo, Fisnik Maxville was a refugee in Switzerland until 2005. After his studies in international relations, he completed a master’s degree in Film. His graduation film Lost Exile (2016) premiered in Locarno and received the Cinema & Gioventù Jury Award. He also wrote and directed the short films The Valley of Happiness (2017), Zvicra (2018), Endgame (2020), and Nostromo (2021). The Land Within (2022) is his debut feature film.

Hana is trying to escape from a lack of perspective in Kosovo. She meets Emir, a smuggler in Serbia who will drive her to Hungary. On the road, complications arise.
