Vanessa del Campo

Vanessa del Campo holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and lectured on this in Barcelona, but she changed the course of her career. She studied film in both her native Spain and Cuba before graduating from LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. She is now working on a PhD in the Arts at RITCS/VUB. Del Campo strongly believes in the role that films play in terms of self-awareness and social engagement. Her short film Mars, Oman premiered at Visions du Réel and received the IDFA Talent Award.
