Ibro Hasanović

Ibro Hasanović (Serbia, 1981) is a film, video, and installation artist currently based in Paris, France, concerned largely with the powers of individual and collective memory. As a witness to the catastrophic history of Yugoslavia, Hasanović’s work largely revolves around geopolitical and social concerns. It focuses on micro-events, making history graspable as something personal, even anecdotal, in an attempt to tackle excruciating events such as war and persecution.
