A Kind of Testament

After a world premiere in Berlin, Stephen Vuillemin’s film debut was almost everywhere on the international festival circuit.

In A Kind of Testament, a young woman bumps into online animations that are clearly made from her private selfies. Vuillemin’s razor-sharp animated film scrutinises social media and digital personas and asks important questions about privacy and voyeurism.

At the opening of the Brussels underground film festival Courts Mais Trash, short films from Canada, the United States, and the UK will be shown alongside France’s A Kind of Testament. The festival runs until 3 February at Les Riches-claires.

Man Ray, France, 1923, 3’
