Door een film te huren uit het video on demand aanbod of u te abonneren, steunt u niet alleen ons werk maar ook dat van de betrokken filmmakers: alle inkomsten vloeien terug naar de rechthebbenden en worden geïnvesteerd in de verdere verspreiding en het contextualiseren van de films.
Alle films in de collectie zijn wereldwijd beschikbaar met Engelse ondertiteling. Voor slechts €25/jaar krijgt u onbeperkte toegang tot de volledige catalogus die maandelijks wordt aangevuld.

This film was chosen by film programmer Ana David. She’s currently the curator at Batalha Centro de Cinema, which opened in December 2022 in Porto. David is also a member of the advisory board at Berlinale Panorama since 2018. She held previous positions at IndieLisboa, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, BFI London FF, and Queer Lisboa.
In 1998, Semira Adamu, a 20-year-old Nigerian immigrant, died on Belgian soil of suffocation under a police pillow. Twenty years later, two women tell her story in a cry for justice. Through this film, they highlight the reality of detention centres: the harsh conditions of confinement, the suffering of detainees and the abuse by guards and police officers.
