27
Hungarian Flóra Anna Buda won no less than three major film awards (in Cannes, Annecy, and Sarajevo) with her dreamy short animation film 27. It is a story about a young woman exploring her sexuality to her heart's content: lurking in the background is a socio-political message about the soured housing market in France, as the main character, Alice, is still living with her parents at 27.
Alice's imperfections and contradictions make her a perfect character: does she want to grow up already or wait for a while? 27 is a recognisable, colourful, and light-hearted film.
In the programme Get Animated, Pink Screens collects a wide bunch of animated shorts, including new works from Lili Tóth and Tom CJ Brown.
